Juicing 101

Juicing is a great way to get some more veggies in, just make sure that you have mostly vegetables in your juice and only a small amount of fruit. Here is a video where Denise shows us how to juice.

Here are a few juice recipes that you could try for yourself!

Recipes:

Green Apples, Asparagus, Cucumber

Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 red or green apple (green apples recommended, but if you prefer some sweetness, use the red apples)
  • 1 medium-sized cucumber
  • 5 sticks of asparagus

Instructions

  1. Makes about 400 ml worth of green juice.

Carrot, Pumpkin, Broccoli, Cucumber

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots
  • 1/4 slice of a medium-sized pumpkin
  • 3-5 branches of broccoli
  • 1 cucumber

Instructions

  1. Cut up your produce into sizes that fit your juicer chute, and juice away!

Carrot, Cabbage, Celery and Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 3 medium-sized carrots
  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 1 rib of celery
  • 3 small branches of broccoli

Instructions

  1. This recipe makes about 400 ml worth of healthy juice.

Badger Juice

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of kale
  • 1 small bag of baby carrots
  • 2 bunches of broccoli
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Substitute vegetables based on what you find at the store, what is on sale or what looks good. This recipe makes enough for 4 servings.
  2. Enjoy!
